The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) published last November the third, completely redesigned, edition of “The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine”.
The textbook now comprises two volumes with 64 sections and 792 chapters written by experts in the field from around the world, and covers the whole spectrum of cardiovascular medicine (fig. 1). The new edition is also available as a sophisticated electronic version, “ESC CardioMed”, which is accessible as a membership benefit by professional members of the ESC. It provides a search system, videos and 3D animations.
